Ahoy there!

Thanks to those of you who have sent recipes through - although we are still desperate for more as some of the suggestions haven't quite followed the brief! Carole suggested a very simple recipe - for tomato soup! Usually seen as a winter comfort food so probably not needed in the Caribbean (don't even consider suggesting gazpacho !) and we haven't quite worked out the transport problem!

Rodney is certainly ahead with the number of suggestions and delicious they sound too - but practical - NO!  whilst anchored off a remote island are we going to locate frozen vol au vent cases and smoked salmon? We won't even discuss the budget issue on these!

Roger came up trumps with a smoked fish pate which had the option of tinned ingredients we can buy in the U.S and store, no cooking involved and easily transportable. He even suggested a veggie option. So far he is in the lead for the Golden Dishcloth award - but we need more recipes!

If cooking isn't your forte then how about 'cussing'? The dockmaster at Solomon Island has promised us free dockage if we can come up with some curses in foreign tongues. He is pretty fluent at cursing in Russian & Polish but that's all. Terms like 'may your bilges always be full of water' or 'may your floating dock sink in the muddy waters'. Anything x-rated won't be good as if he translates he'll double our dockage fee!

We look forward to lots of e-mails on both subjects!

Warm regards

Sharon & Andrew
